On Sept. 14, the performer and his representatives — again not eager to be seen at the White House — quietly met in a Washington hotel with a group of Trump aides including Kushner, Ja’Ron Smith, and Brooke Rollins. Ice Cube’s group had prepped for the meeting by consulting with Claud Anderson, a Black economist and author who has argued that African Americans are being served poorly by both parties.
In the following days, Ice Cube’s team continued to hash out ideas with the White House and eventually elicited a promise of $500 billion in funding to be included in Trump’s election-year plan. …”
$500 billion dollars in reparations for blacks, Juneteenth becoming a federal holiday, the Second Step Act and declaring the Klan a terrorist organization. All it took for this to become official policy in Trump’s 2020 campaign was for the rapper behind “Arrest the President” to ask Jared Kushner.
What about all the people who voted for Trump in 2016? Trump spent all his political capital on passing a huge corporate tax cut that enriched Silicon Valley which censors his supporters and his own campaign, deregulation for multinational corporations, huge military budgets for generals who refuse to end foreign wars, criminal justice reform for black felons and Sheldon Adelson’s wish list.
