3. Yes, the exponential curve has gone linear (steeply linear).
   But what will happen when we return to ‘normal’ ?

   • It’s going to be rough for at least a couple years. Restaurants and small businesses will fold. Government intervention has increased and their inroads will remain. Drug abuse, suicides and alcoholism will claim far more people than this virus.

     I think it will take at least six months before people get back to normal, and at a minimum, four years before property prices get back to where they were before the shutdown.

     The lockdown will end up being more damaging than the virus.

     • Negatory from omegatory. There will be a $$ RESET and the economy ( after about a 1 to 2 month slow start, ) will kick ass WAY better than it was.

       And on a side note … anyone ever order food delivery from Whole Foods ? 4. With hospitalizations plummeting and even with “very liberal” and I would say fraudulent accounting, this will end up, as I said from the beginning, just like the flu ONLY NOT AS BAD. By Thursday we will be hitting 20 million unemployed, sucks to be them.

9. I just had the most mind blowing conversation with a family member who is a Conserva-Boomer.

   He has a lot of money in stocks, so his investment firm gave him intelligence that hardly anyone is dying from Corona Virus, and he has been sending these figures to all his friends and relatives by email, as proof that Corona is a nothingburger.

   So reading this graph by eye,

   Per 1000 people, it says these are the number of dead:

   Note the person who put this data out is not a doctor but a top economist.

   I rubbed my eyes looking at the numbers. Had Hunter Wallace been lying to me all this time? How could only 0.15 people have died in the UK per 1000??? So I checked the CDC and WHO websites and they say the number of deaths per confirmed cases are around 5-10% of those who actually catch it.

   After a few moments of furious thinking I realized what this Boomer was actually saying. I assumed like any SANE PERSON, he was talking about the number of people that had caught it, and had died from it. But no! His graph was including all of the people in the population, WHO HAVEN’T CAUGHT IT YET! LMAO!

   So I pointed this out to him, and he screamed at me.

   Then I explained to him that the Corona Virus has an R0 rate of 2-2.5. That means if you catch it and nothing is done to isolate you, you spread it to 2.5 people, and each of those 2.5 people spread it to 2.5 others and so on. I don’t think Boomers understand exponential curves, because he screamed at me again and this time he put his fists up.

   I also explained to him, that he is twice as likely to die from it, him being male, and the older you are, the more likely you are to die from it. As he is a very old Boomer, if he catches it he is screwed. I was rewarded for my efforts by being screamed at again. LOL

   Something tells me that teaching Boomers how to use computers, without teaching them high school math first was a very bad idea.
