Michigan Swing Voters Are Just Trump Voters Now

I’m not surprised.

I’ve been sensing a shift in momentum ever since the Democratic debates started and this impeachment nonsense began this fall. It has been a double victory for Trump.

This was the biggest takeaway from our Engagious/FPG focus group last week, which included 10 voters who flipped from Obama in 2012 to Trump in 2016.

While a focus group is not a statistically significant sample like a poll, these responses show how some voters are thinking and talking about the 2020 election in crucial counties. …”

The average person doesn’t understand why the Russia conspiracy, the Ukraine conspiracy and now impeachment has dominated the news cycle for three years. What does any of that have to do with their lives? What did Trump even do that rises to the level of impeachment?

Back in 2016, Trump was also presented as a dangerous radical by the media, but now it seems like the Democrats have become far more radicalized than the Republicans. Everyone knows that Trump will just sit there in the Oval Office and tweet and hold his patriotic rallies. The average normie is content to just have a patriot in office. Trump has told them that they are winning. These low-information voters have no interest in going into the details.

Even the low-information voters have heard about the Russia conspiracy, the Ukraine conspiracy and impeachment though. They all think it is bullshit. The media talks about nothing else 24/7/365. It is like the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 that used to dominate CNN. They come across as being insanely anti-Trump and uninterested in presenting an alternative vision that resonates with these voters. If you caught any of the Democratic debates, you heard the Democrats want to give free healthcare to all illegal aliens, dissolve the border, welcome LGBTQ asylum seekers like the Liberal Democrats in the UK, confiscate guns and criminalize free speech.

Most people are used to Trump now and don’t find him all that threatening. He delivered on tax cuts and judges for conservatives who said he would never do it. He talked a big game about “America First,” but really just went even harder on a pro-Israel agenda than George W. Bush. He didn’t make any big moves in Europe and put sanctions on Russia. He has imposed tariffs on China and people in the Rust Belt will give him credit for that. There is talk about pulling troops out of Afghanistan now. Trump’s policy victories have been deregulating banks and criminal justice reform. He was not nearly as disruptive and transformative as advertised.

The average person might have seen maybe 5% of what we have tracked on this website. It is very easy for such a voter to attribute Trump’s failure to pass big things on his agenda to RINOs and Democrat obstruction. This is especially true now that he is being impeached by the Democrats. It will be very easy for Trump to demonize the Democrats and blame all his failures on them in 2020.

  3. As the polls predicted, Trump lost the popular vote by 2% but won the crucial swing states. In 2020 he could take an even bigger drubbing in the popular vote as the barrios of LA and the wards of Chicago and New York stuff the ballot with millions of false votes.

    If the votes were lawfully cast and counted, I think Trump could even win the popular vote, but they wont be.

    Trump’s strategy could be a sprint to the finish. He knows that in the Holidays, people actively block out politics. Come January, it will be hot and heavy and then Trump will enter the ring in earnest at the convention Aug 27th (as opposed to sniping on Twitter).

    That leaves an 70 day sprint to the finish, where white folk, with our backs against the wall yet again, will storm the barricades of political correctness and in the words of Alex Jones “break the conditioning”.

    All Trump has to do is throw some tasty red meat at the base to fire it up.

    • If Blump wins a second term it will only be by default, because the dumbo-craps couldn’t find a real candidate to run against him. I don’t even think they’re trying, they seem to prefer the strategy of relentless attacks and smears.

  4. The new thing top DNC operatives are talking about is impeaching trump in the house and NOT sending it to the senate for a trial.

    The cope they’re telling the democrat base is that they shouldn’t allow Mitch McConnell to hold a sham trial in the senate and hold the impeachment over trumps head.

    When in reality they know trump will be vindicated in the senate, but by not sending it to the senate they look incredibly petty. The shitlibs will buy that line, but not independents and that’s who this spin would be aimed at. Shitlibs are voting for the dems no matter what, jaded democrat and independent voters wont be convinced by it.

    But I guess they think its best off ramp and maybe they’re right. Is it better to look petty or get humiliated over the course of a week or two. I can get how shitlibs wouldn’t of seen this coming but I honestly don’t know how the DNC itself didn’t see this coming.

    The democrats want to go full radlib(radical liberal) heavy on the anti-white/poz but liberal capitalist in economics. Pesky white democrats still really want economic leftism/structural change and can’t be bought off with an ebt card/cheap hand outs.

    Considering the fact trump isn’t doing anything immigration by 2024 dems might think they could grind down a large segment of the white populist left to accept woke capital and have enough the non-white votes to push through an anti-white liberal capitalists. Thusly keeping the donors they’ve picked up during trumps presidency

    Maybe not but I don’t know what democrat leadership strategy was for impeachment with a republican house??? Try to say trump should’ve been removed from office but republicans are corrupt thieves who stick together??? I get how you could make that argument but its really weak, especially with how partisan politics have become and the partisan nature of the impeachment itself. Or maybe the democrat leadership knew this would hurt them with independents but the shitlib base would be demoralized if the dems didn’t at least try an impeachment and thought they had to keep their base energized rather than worrying about independents. Which has a logic to it but only shitlibs care about impeachment.

    Non-whites want gibs and policies that hurt white people. Working class to lower middle class whites who might be jaded democrat voter who maybe don’t vote every cycle but are more likely to vote democrat if they do don’t care about impeachment. They vote democrat for a middle class relief, trade, healthcare, better schools etc

    So if the dems plan was to do phony impeachment to energize their base it’ll be a total fail and again its easy to see a shitlib guy making 150k a year in NYC to make that mistake but the DNC has its own pollster. It’s hard to see part leadership not seeing that in their internal polling/data… But who knows. The impeachment will play a huge part of trumps reelection if he pulls it off
