Greta Thunberg: The Show Is Over!

Greta is angry.

She is tired of Joe Biden and Ed Markey’s bullshit.

This is an emergency. The sky is literally falling. This has been the hottest summer that anyone has ever experienced here in the South. We’re all about to be drowned by the Gulf of Mexico.

Greta Thunberg:

“Tomorrow 150 weeks will have passed since we started to school strike for the climate. During this time more and more people around the world have woken up to the climate- and ecological crisis, putting more and more pressure on you — the people in power.

Eventually the public pressure was too much, you had the world’s eyes on you. So you started to act. Not acting as in taking climate action. But acting as in roleplaying. Playing politics, playing with words, playing with our future.

Pretending to take responsibility. Acting as saviors as you tried to convince us that things are being taken care of, meanwhile the gap between your rhetoric and reality keeps growing wider and wider. And since the level of awareness is so low you almost get away with it. …

As a result, young people all over this planet are no longer falling for your lies. You are distancing yourselves further and further away from us and from reality. Some years ago you could still claim that we were moving in the right direction. Today, that is no longer possible. 2021 is currently forecasted to be the year with the second highest emission rise ever. …”

Meanwhile in Portland, the retards who live out there who have been trapped under that heat dome and who want to take drastic action to change the weather of the entire planet have a problem with air conditioning. Apparently, air conditioning is taboo in parts of the urban Pacific Northwest. Buying an air conditioner or eating a cheeseburger for some Yankees is like making a deal with the devil.

Willamette Week:

I feel like I’ve made a deal with the devil by giving in and buying an air conditioner. Won’t using it just hasten global warming and bring forth hell on earth more quickly? —Becky C.

You’re a human being, Becky. Short of killing yourself (or, I suppose, somebody else), everything you do is going to hasten global warming and bring forth hell on earth more quickly. And in spite of all the hand-wringing over what a wasteful and frivolous luxury it supposedly is, air conditioning is a relatively small part of that equation.

“Small, my eye!” cries the straw man. (For some reason, my straw men always talk like Jimmy Stewart.) “That darned window unit goosed my electric bill by 20%!”

That may be true—for a few months. Over the course of a year, however, air conditioning accounts for just 6% of home electricity use. We use more than twice that on hot water and nearly as much (5%) on laundry—yet nobody ever gets judgy about the wasteful frivolity of clean clothes and hot showers.

“That’s all fine and dandy,” you drawl, “but a little honest sweat never hurt a fella, and a 6% dent in climate change is nothing to sneeze at!” …”

Did you know that air conditioning was taboo in Seattle? /Laughs in Southern drawl.

“SEATTLE — For two decades, Becky Lichenstein embraced a custom of the Seattle area: doing without air-conditioning. With a thrifty populace living in such a temperate climate, box fans rigged to blow over ice and nighttime breezes off Puget Sound were enough to keep the peak of summer at bay.

But summers in the Pacific Northwest aren’t what they once were. With more regular bouts of soaring temperatures, Ms. Lichenstein a few years ago surrendered and bought a portable air-conditioning unit. This year, considering a changing climate and how it’s hitting home, she decided to turn to a more powerful solution — a permanent system installed just this week. …

This week, residents have frantically been calling around looking for possible solutions to keep cool this weekend, but Mr. Stephens said his company was now booked until August. Home improvement stores have been cleaned out of smaller air-conditioning units.

Even with the surge in new air-conditioners, the Seattle metro in 2019 still had the lowest rate among metros tracked in the American Housing Survey, ahead of San Francisco, where 47 percent reported having units. In Portland, 79 percent had air-conditioning. Other large cities where 90-degree temperatures are more common, such as Houston, had air-conditioning in more than 99 percent of households. …”

There is a big article in Time about how air conditioning is also ruining the planet. Private air conditioning is an intersectional climate justice and racial justice issue.

Time:

“For the past few days, a heatwave has glowered over the Pacific Northwest, forcing temperatures in the region to a record-breaking 118ºF. Few people in the region—neither Americans nor Canadians—have air-conditioning. Stores sold out of new AC units in hours as a panicked public sought a reasonable solution to the emergency. Unfortunately, air-conditioning is part of what’s causing the unusual heatwave in the first place.

We came close to destroying all life on Earth during the Cold War, with the threat of nuclear annihilation. But we may have come even closer during the cooling war, when the rising number of Americans with air conditioners—and a refrigerant industry that fought regulation—nearly obliterated the ozone layer. We avoided that environmental catastrophe, but the fundamental problem of air conditioning has never really been resolved. …

The troubled history of air-conditioning suggests not that we chuck it entirely but that we focus on public cooling, on public comfort, rather than individual cooling, on individual comfort. Ensuring that the most vulnerable among the planet’s human inhabitants can keep cool through better access to public cooling centers, shade-giving trees, safe green spaces, water infrastructure to cool, and smart design will not only enrich our cities overall, it will lower the temperature for everyone. It’s far more efficient this way.

To do so, we’ll have to re-orient ourselves to the meaning of air-conditioning. And to comfort. Privatized air-conditioning survived the ozone crisis, but its power to separate—by class, by race, by nation, by ability—has survived, too. Comfort for some comes at the expense of the life on this planet.

It’s time we become more comfortable with discomfort. Our survival may depend on it.”

Heat is systematically racist.

Unfortunately, private air conditioning is destroying the planet. It is a no win situation.

  1. I lived in Portland Oregon for a few years. When I moved into my apartment I asked if there was an A/C unit, and the landlord looked at me sideways and said something about how they don’t need those in Oregon. That year we had a heatwave. 3 days straight of 100 degree weather.

They do have a weird aversion to A/C up there, and it doesn’t make any sense.

  2. Pearson Air Base was established in 1905 and is the oldest in the Northwest. It’s fair to say meteorological records were probably sparse before then. What we had was probably a once in 150 year event. The die back in plants and animals is noticeable. The damage from antifa fires last autumn was even worse. One event was natural one was LGBTQP+ made. I wonder what the extra chromosome packing mutant thinks of the later?

  3. In communist society it is very important to read between the lines like we did back in the Soviet Union to get message out from meaningless word salad.

“””….more and more of us are seeing through your manuscripts and roleplaying…. young people all over this planet are no longer falling for your lies. You are distancing yourselves further and further away from us and from reality. The audience has grown weary. The show is over…..””

This Orwell newspeak is brats warning to The Swamp. Give us what we want or you get open war and we will remove you.

They can say climate, they can say racism or whatever buzzword. The message is clear. Brats losing patience and do not accept anymore replacement therapy like hunting Trump and his supporters or grabbing guns or transsexuals or 24/7 faggotism or whatever. They want real power and real money and they want it now.

Looks like interesting times ahead.. ::D.

  4. “Box fans rigged to blow over ice…”

What do they think moves the fan?

What do they think produces the ice?

  5. Didn’t Greta hear about the climate change group that disbanded because they felt guilty there were no blacks enrolled in it?

  6. People’s need for comfort will always win out over any ideology. There used to be Jokes that you couldn’t raise money for missionary work in many southern churches, but money for air conditioning was a cinch, heh . Greta is from northern Europe. She doesn’t know what a hot climate is..

  7. That underdeveloped troll is the biggest hypocrite and con artist. What she says and what she does are two different things.

  8. On the one hand, everyone living in a developed European country is consuming waay too much energy with their gigantic carbon footprints and reckless consumption of protein like beef and chicken, but on the other hand not allowing people in from from third world, undeveloped countries whose carbon footprint and energy consumption is much, much smaller is racism and a violation of their snivel rights.

I nominate Greta Thunberg for winning the gold MOBI (Most Obnoxious Brat Imaginable) award, knocking bumping the evil Keebler Elf brat, David Hogg to Silver Medal winner.

    • What I don’t get is that she’s so manifestly repulsive but gets this coverage and no pushback.

  9. Thank God for His wrath being poured out on Apostate States like Assachusetts, and Bill Gates’ Washportlandia.

The scum of the earth moans and bitches, and wonders why they are having clearly divine-driven hot weather, after fraudulently electing Sleepy Joe and Que Mala the Ho……

    Ps. 2:4

  10. Greta be a silly ho especially with this stupid veganism saves the planet climate change bullshit hoax but shes right Biden is a bitch made w**ga

  11. It’s been relatively cool here in western North Carolina. It gets in the 60s most nights and the low 90s at most during the days.

They complain that Blacks and other inner city dwellers are most affected by the heat dome effect. Which is most certainly true. They then plan to spread the misery by moving multi-family housing into the suburbs. This will reduce tree and grass coverage in those areas thereby spreading the phenomenon.

We are ruled by people who are either simply evil or totally insane.

    • Remember, absent some new miracle technology, you just can’t put housing projects outside an area with municipal water and sewer service. The niggras (both occupants and property managers) just can’t deal with wells and septic tanks.

  12. Well if global warming is occurring, China is the biggest contributer. They are the second largest economy.Yet when asked to cut emissions, they suddenly become a ‘developing’ nation, despite having a space program, ship and jet factories……..and about 115 different carmakers!
Do the ‘enviromentalists’ ever jump on them? Nup……. they’re not white enough.
Remember this:- the Left are neither feminists, environmentalists or human rights activists. They are simply anti white.

    • Most of the adverse environmental impact from industrialized China is attributable to the people (us) who buy all of the rubber dogshit they make at Walmart and on Amazon.

  13. This site provides evidence that other, similar heatwaves have occurred in the Pacific Northwest. Years with extremely high temperatures appear to include 1898, 1928, 1939, 1961, 1981 and 1998.

We were among the first families to get air conditioning in my neighborhood in the early 70’s, when we installed window units. When I was a little kid, we, and most of the neighbors, had water coolers. I remember going out to hose it down and then sitting close to the fan. In those days, we opened the windows at the school at the beginning and end of the school years, and that was the reason for summer break. This was in Texas and it was hot, but we were better acclimated to the conditions then. That was before they started putting roofs over the ball park and installing HVAC for the crowd’s comfort. That was before obesity was common. That was before cable television, V.C.R.’s, video games, cell phones and the internet made us lazy, soft, impatient and whiny.

  14. There are people with medical conditions for whom air-conditioning is a necessity, not a luxury.
