House Votes To Pass $2,000 Stimulus Checks and Override NDAA Veto

The House vote on $2,000 stimulus checks: 231 Democrats and 44 Republicans were Yea, 2 Democrats, 2 Independents and 130 Republicans were Nay. It barely cleared the 2/3rds threshold.

Here is your new Republican Party.

44 Republicans backed Trump and voted for $2,000 stimulus checks.

109 Republicans broke with Trump and voted to overturn his veto of the 2021 NDAA which 1.) keeps American troops in Afghanistan, 2.) costs $740.5 billion dollars (strangely, the performance art “deficit hawks” voted for it), 3.) renames military bases named after Confederate generals and 4.) contains within it the United States-Israel Security Assistance Authorization Act of 2020 which will provide Israel with $3.3 billion dollars in military assistance every year through 2028.

  1. The Democrats and Republicans should reject the political extremes and work together as moderates. As for the Republicans….the idiots who voted against Stimulus Checks in the worst part of a World Health Pandemic are a perfect example of what such political extremists on the right wing really think about We The People. Nothing but a bunch of Jew Capitalist Pigs and White Rich People who think just like them. Vote every single one of them out of office! Deo Vindice !

  2. 2 of the 3 Repuliturd Representatives from here in WVa voted “nay” – how they can look around this state and not see what a Godsend $2000 would be to most people is beyond comprehension. I hope the Dems use this cheapskate stunt to stuff it up the Repubs’ ass in the GA Senate race.

  3. Keeps troops in Afghanistan, renames military bases, billions to Israel for virtually the rest of the decade…….not real sure how any of this helps the average American in any real way.
    Ugghh…….it really makes me sick.

    • Those Congressmen get paid a great deal by their plutocrat masters NOT to represent the best interests of their constituency.
