See Part I before reading:
According to my various sources who are close to the Groypers and America First, Dave Reilly is the man who leaked the ‘alleged’ audio recording of Richard Spencer to Milo Yiannopoulos. I was told that Reilly shopped the recording to various figures, including one of my sources. Two people whom Dave told my sources that he also attempted to sell it were Patrick Casey of AIM (American Identity Movement) and Nick Fuentes of America First with Nicholas J. Fuentes. Eventually Dave when he was unable to find a buyer, according to my sources, ended up giving the recording to Milo.
My sources’ summary:
- Dave was telling various people for months he had an audio recording of Richard Spencer
- Reilly also told people he was attempting to sell it and to whom
- My sources tell me Reilly showed and played the audio recording for several people himself before Milo released his version
- They do not believe Dave was even paid for the recording when he eventually gave it over to Milo
Who is Dave Reilly?
Dave Reilly became instantly famous when he asked Charlie Kirk “how does anal sex help us win the culture war?’ at a TPUSA event in late 2019.
Dave was also well-known before that to many of us for the drone footage he released on YouTube of the now infamous ‘Torchlight March’ at the University of Virginia the day before the Unite the Right rally in August of 2017.
BLOOMSBURG — WHLM’s David Reilly has resigned, a day after the station suspended him for posting a white supremacist video and tweets that sparked protests against the station and caused numerous advertisers to flee.
Joe Reilly, station owner and general manager, and David Reilly’s father, Wednesday issued a statement that included a quote from David Reilly denying his affiliation with racist groups but saying he was resigning.
“The following message is of the utmost importance in starting the process in repairing the bonds between the Columbia Broadcasting Company and our local community,” Joe Reilly wrote.
His son’s statement followed:
“My name is David Reilly. I am an employee of WHLM Radio in Bloomsburg Pennsylvania.
“I find myself in the precarious position to define who I am and what I believe.
“I denounce Nazism, the KKK, Racism, White Supremacism, and political violence.
“The accusations that I am a White Supremacist, Nazi, Racist or anything of this kind is pure slander.
“Out of charity towards the community, and especially towards my parents, Nancy and Joe Reilly, I hereby tender my resignation from WHLM.”
Joe Reilly added, “I accept my son, David Reilly’s resignation from WHLM.”
David Reilly was the station’s director of new media and he had an evening show on the news station.
There was no immediate change in Bloomsburg University’s position following the resignation. University spokesman Tom McGuire Wednesday evening repeated his statement from Tuesday that “Bloomsburg University is continuing to work with its legal team to explore our options concerning our sports broadcasts.”
The university said Monday it pulled its ads in response to the station airing an interview with the organizer of the Unite the Right event in Charlottesville and the video Reilly posted on YouTube after the event.
“In less than 24 hours he went from suspended to resignation,” Bloomsburg activist Dwayne Heisler commented on Wednesday night. “It’s a good start, but there is no apology or enough to talk about what a different WHLM looks like. It’s a positive step.”
Nate Wheeler, 31, of Bloomsburg, who organized the protests, said, “Bloomsburg has come together in the last 48 hours to show that hatred and bigotry have no place in our community. I couldn’t be more proud of the town that I call home.
“I applaud Mr. Riley for stepping down. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem as if he wants to own up to his actions. This is a step in the right direction, anyway.”
The fallout over the YouTube video and tweets began Monday and continued on Tuesday as a number of advertisers, including the university and the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, cut ties with the news station. The university also was studying whether the station will continue to broadcast university sports.
About a dozen protesters carrying signs reading “WHLM EMPLOYS NAZIS” and “TURN OFF RACIST SCUM WHLM” first took to the sidewalk in front of the downtown radio station on Monday evening, in response to the younger Reilly producing a video and tweeting out comments in support of white supremacists in the Charlottesville, Va., march over the weekend. One woman died at the march on Saturday when a driver plowed his car into a crowd of counter-protesters.
About 60 to 70 Bloomsburg protesters were there on Tuesday night.
Wheeler said he and a friend organized the protest because of the video. The nearly 5-minute video, mostly shot from a drone, shows the white supremacists marching and gathering with torches on Friday night, as techno rock music plays over the scenes.
Evan McLaren, formerly of The National Policy Institute, has decided to go on the record because he has become deeply concerned about this situation after becoming aware of the evidence against Dave Reilly.
Evan stated via voice-text:
I met Dave in early 2017 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania at something called the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference. It is basically the Pennsylvania State-level version of CPAC. I had never met or seen him and had no idea who he was, but he was wearing a red MAGA hat. I bring all of this up, because I remember that it did not seem like Dave had met a lot of [Alt-Right] people in real life prior to running into me. We hung out the rest of that weekend and basically trolled the conference. He lived in northeastern Pennsylvania, maybe an hour and a half or two hours or more from Harrisburg, so I invited him to stay at my place one night instead of having to drive all the way back and forth to the conference.
I do not know about the May 2017 Charlottesville events because I was not at that one, but I do remember that when I moved to Alexandria, I was Dave’s entry into a few parties and social gatherings, especially at the NPI loft [Richard Spencer’s residence]. Also, I’m sure I encouraged him to join [Identity Evropa], and although my memory is weak, I’m guessing that he did so. I remember that there was a Trump rally in Harrisburg in the late spring or early summer of 2017, and I was there in my capacity as an Identity Europa leader. I remember Dave being there also.
It is possible that he used my name and influence to gain access in Charlottesville in May 2017, to the event and to social gatherings afterwards, but I do not know that for sure. He continued to reach out to me until about a year ago, sometimes just to share articles in written form or things that he had done, sometimes to try to utilize connections that I had.
Dave Reilly has been attempting to sue various media organizations for labeling him “a racist, bigoted Nazi.”
CASE STILL PENDING
A former Bloomsburg PA radio personality suing television stations, political activists and others over what he says was a smear campaign isn’t happy.
He will not be allowed to keep secret his current work information or the documents he submits to the court, a judge has ruled.
According to the Press-Enterprise, 30-year-old David Reilly, WHLM 930 AM, sued WBRE (NBC) and WNEP (ABC) stations last year, along with 15 other defendants.
He said they falsely labeled him “a racist, bigoted Nazi” over his coverage of the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017.
In 2017, Reilly had compiled a musical drone video montage of a torchlight march, then posted it to his personal website.
That video, along with a previous interview of the rally’s organizer on WHLM, ignited protests outside the radio station that ended with Dave Reilly leaving his job at the station, which is owned by his father, Joe Reilly.
The defendants rebutted Reilly’s claims in their court filings, with the television stations saying their reporting on protests outside the radio station’s Main Street studio was accurate and a matter of public concern. The representatives for the protesters have said their opinions should not be held as defamation.
The lawsuit, filed in March 2018, remains in the discovery or fact-finding stages.
Per Evan McLaren via voice-text:
As far as his lawsuit, my understanding is that he is suing one or several media outlets for grossly misportraying him as a participant in Unite the Right, when he was really only participating as a journalist. If that is what he is arguing, it is obviously a bad faith argument. My testimony would make that clear, since it would illustrate that he was obviously sympathetic with those participating in the rally, that he saw himself as a member of the movement, and that, at a minimum, he coordinated his activities with Identity Europa, and may even have been a full member.
This seems to be a completely different picture from what Dave Reilly has painted of himself to the general public and E. Michael Jones.
**Dave Reilly would not respond to my requests for comment via Twitter
What I still cannot understand is why Nick Fuentes and Patrick Casey have not come forward and still seem to be on friendly terms with a known doxxer like Milo. Why have they not publicly disavowed Milo’s behavior? What did they know, and when did they know it because, according to my sources, they have known about this audio recording from Dave Reilly for months? It is also strange that they have not publicly made statements about Milo’s recent doxxing of a member of AIM and potential doxxing of many more. What do they know about the recent video Milo released, and are they involved in any way?
I am a White Nationalist and have been for quite some time now. The fact that Milo doxxed a person who fights for our cause is sickening to me, but what is worse is that his own leaders will not stand up for him against the perpetrator of this very heinous act. Patrick Casey and Nick Fuentes have lost all credibility in my mind. If you are associated with them in any way, I suggest you distance yourself immediately because they obviously do not care about the well-being of you and your organization.
I should have a story about the Milo video soon so wish me luck.
