Bernie Sanders Tightens His Grip On Iowa

Is Bernie Sanders poised to roll to victory in Iowa and New Hampshire?

New York Times:

“BETTENDORF, Iowa — As they streamed out of the ballroom following a Scott County fund-raising banquet Saturday night, one after the other Iowa Democrats admitted that they still had not decided whom to support just over a week before the state’s presidential caucuses.

But by not mentioning his name as they rattled off their short lists, they made it clear whom they would not support: Senator Bernie Sanders, the democratic socialist from Vermont who has taken the lead in recent polls.

Instead, every one of the 30 still-undecided Democratic activists here rattled off some combination of the same four names — Senators Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and former Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Ind. …”

NBC News:

“DES MOINES, Iowa — The greatest trick Bernie Sanders ever played was convincing the world the chance he could win didn’t exist.

The independent senator from Vermont has been running for president for the better part of five years, but some Democrats are only just now, a week out from the first contest in the 2020 presidential primary season, beginning to come to grips with the fact that he could actually win the nomination.

“Suddenly, we have the Democratic establishment very nervous about this campaign. We got Wall Street nervous,” Sanders told a crowd of roughly 1,100 Sunday night in Sioux City. “They’re starting to think, could this really happen?”

“We are their worst nightmare,” he added.

Don’t break out the champagne just yet. There is one slight problem with Bernie becoming the nominee. Bernie is running neck and neck with Trump in Delaware:

Bernie could also lose Virginia to Trump:

President Trump trails former Vice President Joe Biden in Virginia, but he leads the other top contenders for the Democratic nomination in the state, according to a new poll.

The latest survey from Mason-Dixon, released Tuesday, finds Biden’s support at 49 percent, compared with Trump’s 45 percent, in the Old Dominion.

But the statewide survey also found the president with a 6 percentage point lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), a 4-point lead over Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and a 2-point lead over South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg. …”

Bernie loses Iowa to Trump too.

Who do suburbanites vote for in a Trump vs. Bernie race? Is Bernie too liberal on social issues to peel away Trump voters? Can suburbanites swallow Bernie’s economic policies?

  1. I despise Trump, whereas I merely dislike Bernie. If I do bother voting this time around it may be for Sanders, but it depends on who his running mate is.

    • I would like to see AOC elected President – at least I could stare at those big brown titties of hers as she prattles on about some BS as opposed to the rest of those ugly morons.

    • Sanders/Tulsi will cause the most disruption. We should promote populists candidates regardless of if they’re left or right wing populists.

When your opponent is running a populists your side has to become more populist to compete.

We want the center to fallout and have a battle between left wing & right wing populism. Working against a populists on either side is fighting for the establishment center.

Trump would’ve been a better president if he had ran against Bernie in 16. He wouldn’t of felt as complacent about infrastructure, healthcare, trade and immigration if he would’ve known a left populists like Bernie was nipping at his heels with his own infrastructure, healthcare, trade and jobs plans. Hillary only cared about wall street so it was easy to out flank here by simply mouthing some populists noises. If Bernie was the nominee in 16 trump would’ve fucked us but he would’ve fought a little bit harder to put up at least superficial populists wins

  2. I will not vote for any candidate for POTUS in November. None are worthy of being president, and they all are owned by the jewish oligarchy.

  3. The Democrat Party’s owners will have to move Bernie aside, gently if possible. Bernie and Pocahontas brought up taxing billionaire’s wealth and that just isn’t done. Pocahontas will just fade away if Bernie stays in the race and not be a threat to the oligarchs. If Bernie goes away, one way or another (see Seth Rich for details), and Pocahontas runs against Trump he will destroy her, she of the forked tongue. The oligarchs would rather have Trump than Bernie although one of the pygmies like The Buttplug or Creepy Joe would be easier to control.

    No offense meant to pygmies.

  4. I’m “glad” to see that Trump is back on track by giving a holocaust speech today.

I can’t bring myself to vote for ANY of these scumbags. No matter who wins we get mass Third World invasion, wars for jews, and continued decline.

  5. It’s all about student loan usury. To offer white educated conservatives, moderates, and left of center liberals, a vote in elections for populism concerning this is existential.

The student loan racketeering has led to low white birth rates, lack of property ownership, and suicide.

    • Applying for a goddamn Guaranteed Student Loan is almost literally like signing a contract with the devil.

    • We need to abolish student loan options, not student loan indebtedness. Bernie is a pied piper, but he’s a Satanic pied piper. He wants to keep the collegiate status quo, and then foist off the burden of bad economics on teh part of all of these colleges, to the US Taxpayer.

If colleges didn’t have the billions of $$ of fiat [student loan] currency to pay for their BS programs (Gay, Lesbian, Transgender, Sociology departments, etc.) and had to rely primarily on student’s own finances, donors who are alumni, and restoration of the older Western Liberal Arts curriculum, as well as high scores in non-dumbed down ACT/SAT tests, and not having ‘points’ awarded for social engineering purposes, Colleges would have to resort to: a) only accepting the best and brightest (i.e., Whites) b) funding from denominational sources (which would mean parishioners could say what kind of college THEY wanted for their children) and c) evacuation of professors who are either Jews, Liberals, Sodomties, or just plain commies.

      • It’s true. Debt is keeping Whites from having more kids. Student loans pound whitey into the ground. Vile landlords do, too. The cost to own a house in more and more places is becoming a pipe dream for whites or they have to keep working constantly and thus, kids are either not had or cut back on since white areas are more expensive.

Immigration and the absurdity of allowing foreign buyers has dramatically raised prices in and around cities and their burbs. They all gravitate to the same areas..Lunatic Joe Biden, who is quietly running an anti white campaign, demands two million more invaders instantly that would raise prices even further for white people.

Out of control capitalism has been nearly as bad on white child making as feminism. Prices for everything get too high and children are not had or fewer. Non whites have the kids due to paying less to live and being part of a welfare culture. The ship will sink major if this keeps up.

  6. Imagine a society in which you can be all these things all at once: Virgin Incel, Deadbeat Dad, Rapist Racist.

Wait, you are living in that world, no need to imagine it.

  7. Bernie could easily win Virginia if he focuses like a laser on healthcare while campaigning there. Trump has nothing but empty rhetoric. Bernie has a real plan that would work.

I still think Biden is not out due to the black vote. If Bernie sweeps Iowa and NH that would give him tremendous energy and momentum that could change things for him in South Carolina. We’ll see.

  8. In 2016 I do think in a fair election if Biden ran, the order would have been 1 – 2 – 3 biden – sanders – clinton. Clinton got unfair advantages because the entire party machine “chose” her before it was clear that she was really winning, much like a pollster who leads the person taking the polls.

But now I think it might be sanders in 2020, because Democrats want their own extremist to compete with Trump’s extremism (which I don’t conflate with Richard Spencer or the alt right, but Trump is an extremist).
