Virginia Gov. Ralph Northman Crucified For Wearing Blackface In College Yearbook

Until recently, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam appeared to be weathering the storm he had created over his comments on third trimester abortion:

“A new bill proposed in the Virginia legislature would loosen restrictions on abortions during the third trimester of pregnancy, and allow abortions during the second trimester to take place outside hospitals. Virginia’s governor, Democrat Ralph Northam, stirred controversy on Wednesday when he suggested how such a late-term procedure could occur. …

“When we talk about third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of obviously the mother, with the consent of the physicians, more than one physician, by the way,” Northam said. “And it’s done in cases where there amy be severe deformities, there may be a fetus that’s non-viable. So in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother. So I think this was really blown out of proportion.”

He refused to back down. In fact, he doubled down on his comments:

“I’m a physician. I’m also the governor. But when I’m asked questions, a lot of times it is put in the context of being a physician — realizing how we approach, how we manage patients, how we offer advice and counseling,” he said at a press conference. “So, no, I don’t have any regrets.”

Asked Wednesday about Democratic Virginia delegate Kathy Tran’s admission that her bill would allow for abortions to be performed up until the point of birth, Northam defended the legislation and suggested that women should be able to determine whether their born-alive infant should receive life-saving care. …”

Mainstreaming infanticide? No problem.

Posing as “Coonman” in blackface next to someone in a Klan robe in a 1984 medical school yearbook? The whole political establishment demands his immediate resignation and compete with each other in virtue signaling against “racism.” He was disavowed by everyone from Planned Parenthood to Donald Trump for his “unforgivable” sin against political correctness:

“RICHMOND, Va. — Gov. Ralph Northam of Virginia, defying pleas from his own party to resign, said on Saturday that he would remain in office, and flatly denied that he had worn Ku Klux Klan robes or appeared in blackface in an image from his medical school yearbook that has upended his governorship and embarrassed his fellow Democrats. …”

“It was definitely not me,” Mr. Northam said at an afternoon news conference. “I can tell by looking at it.”

But within hours, three of the state’s most senior Democrats said they had called Mr. Northam to tell him to step down, depriving the governor of his last remaining support and intensifying the pressure on him.

“We no longer believe he can effectively serve as the governor of Virginia and that he must resign,’’ Senators Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine and Representative Robert C. Scott said in a statement. …”

What kind of culture do we live in when both parties agree that wearing blackface is morally worse than infanticide? Why even bother to vote? The GOP isn’t “moving the Overton Window” here. It is competing with the Democrats to hunt down racial heretics and scalp them.

  1. I have tried to watch/listen to as little of this BS as possible this weekend. The high pitch virtue signaling coming from all of the political class and their puppets is cringe. Mainstream American politics is a complete joke.

    American politics and culture is turning into one great big donor-funded contest and witch hunt over who is and isn’t a racist and trying to dig up any past dirt they can find to prove it. The GOP and the conservatives are only getting worse and worse in this regard. Trump has made all of this insane political correctness worse because he is such a weak President. Nothing energizes these people any longer other than to label the other guy a bigger racist. No issue consumes them like this.

    The whole thing appears to be designed to keep the people occupied with nonsense while the (((donor class))) continue to plunder our nation and look to other opportunities to plunder others like Venezuela. They do not want our eyes fixated on them while they do their work.

    “Conservatives” and liberals always back down and go on the defensive when attacked for being “racist”. They never go on the offensive. They never say “Anti-racist is a code word for anti-White”.
    They never win.

  8. Brad and others fail to call out Northam and Sharpton et al for hiding behind black Michael Jackson’s rape of white working class children. Fetuses rank over nine year olds apparently.

    How about the fact that the entire black ‘civil rights’ establishment allied with monsters like Eldridge Cleaver and Amiri Baraka who actively promoted the rape of white women by black men, ushering in an epidemic of horrific violent crime our country had never seen before in the 1970’s? Angela Davis’s anti-semitism is decried yet her Black Panther past of allying with anti-european misogynist terrorists merits no rebukes or disavowals.

    The attrition rate for cops is at an all-time high across the country; famous Southern cities like Asheville (google Chris Hickman and David Bell along with the new BLM-influenced city manager and black sheriff) falter under the weight of today’s ‘social justice’ agenda as liberal regimes destroy whatever remains of western civilization.   12. FDR is often credited with saying “In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens you can bet it was planned that way.” Whether he said it or not, it proves true. Some leftists and pundits are openly calling for Northam to resign for one reason-so Virginia’s negro Lieutenant Governor, Justin Fairfax, can be governor. This would make 2 negro governors for Virginia. Fairfax has vowed to get rid of Confederate monuments, tighten gun control laws and pretty much make life as miserable as possible for Whites. Not that Northam hasn’t tried, but Fairfax would go the extra mile to do so.

    There is no way I am defending Northam. He is ass kissing POS. However, hearing all this fake righteous indignation and moral superiority over a 35 year old photo is infuriating. That photo was taken in the early to mid 80s at a party. This kind of thing was quite common in Virginia and the South then. I am betting the guys in the KKK robe and hood and the blackface were drunk as well.

    Funny how this photo did not surface BEFORE the 2017 election. It would have made the governor’s race quite interesting at least.

  13. Why isn’t the college being held accountable by the press and the court of public opinion for publishing the photo in the first place? Was the editor out sick? It seems that if this is truly offensive, then there is plenty of blame to go around. Strange how only one person is being held accountable for something that the college administration, yearbook staff and, by default, the entire faculty and student body is to blame for. Why wasn’t there an outcry 35 years ago, when the photo was first seen? Did everyone somehow just accidentally skip that page? Who decided to use the photo for the yearbook? I doubt Northam had anything to do with its selection for inclusion.

  14. Why didn’t Terry McAuliffe not resign after participating in the direct promotion of the very contemporaneous torture of women and children as a Roman Catholic? How about Tim Kaine?

    How are they getting a pass? Could it be because most of the Church’s victims were white?

    The very sober and sentient worshipper of child molestation and misogyny is now considering running for president while some guy who got drunk at a party in med school and may or may not have painted his face black at a costume party is being run out of Virginia politics.

    McAuliffe’s disgusting catholic people, whom he cannot possibly deny having been in conniving league with, were running Magdalene Sisters asylums in Ireland during the very time McAuliffe was taking training from plenty of irish catholic priests at Catholic U and Georgetown Law. A well known film was made by scottish catholics about these horrible prisons, where young girls were interned as punishment for surviving rape (or even being flirted with!) at the hands of McAuliffe’s political machine. The women whose stories formed the basis for the plot claim the actual asylums were way worse than the film portrays.

    I am 100% seriously wanting to know how the hell this enabler and beneficiary of Roman Catholic structural rapism gets a fucking pass.
