By the time this is over, you will understand why I am a Southern Nationalist:
“SAN FRANCISCO/WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A U.S. judge blocked President Donald Trump’s administration on Tuesday from ending a program that shielded from deportation children brought to the United States illegally by their parents.
Trump decided in September to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA. U.S. District Judge William Alsup ruled in San Francisco on Tuesday the program must remain in place while litigation over Trump’s decision unfolds.
The ruling came as Trump and U.S. congressional leaders negotiated broad immigration reforms. …”
The system does whatever it wants.
The input from voters is an illusion. Even if your candidate wins, the bipartisan policies don’t really change. This decision really stretches the plausibility of liberal democracy to its limit. I suspect it will be overruled but not before making a mockery out of partisan politics. It is amazing how worked up we get over elections when our votes are so meaningless at the end of the day.
