It is Time to Cut Puerto Rico Loose

In the present system, Puerto Rico, a financial and demographic weight on the United States, needs to be cut free and forced to sink or swim on its own. Apparently, US President Donald Trump is at least somewhat sympathetic to this point of view. CNN reports:

President Donald Trump suggested Thursday that Puerto Rico is going to have to shoulder more responsibility for recovery efforts from Hurricane Maria, saying the federal government’s emergency responders can’t stay there “forever.”

His comments — in which he also blamed the beleaguered island for a financial crisis “largely of their own making” and infrastructure that was a “disaster” before the hurricane — come as Puerto Rico still reels from a lack of electricity, public health access and a rising death toll.

…He wrote in two separate tweets, “‘Puerto Rico survived the Hurricanes, now a financial crisis looms largely of their own making.’ says Sharyl Attkisson. A total lack of……..accountability say the Governor. Electric and all infrastructure was disaster before hurricanes. Congress to decide how much to spend…”

…He continued in a third tweet: “We cannot keep FEMA, the Military & the First Responders, who have been amazing (under the most difficult circumstances) in P.R. forever!”

Most Puerto Ricans have fled their homeland to take advantage of opportunities and government benefits in the mainland USA. About 5.4 million Puerto Ricans live in the US while just 3.5 million live in Puerto Rico. As the Los Angeles Times has reported, Puerto Ricans are “pouring into the US mainland”:

The mainland had already been absorbing record numbers of Puerto Ricans fleeing economic decline and a mounting debt crisis, with more than 700,000 migrating between 2006 and 2015. Some people also moved back over that time, but after decades of population growth, the island saw the total number of residents drop from about 3.8 million to 3.4 million — or more than 10%.

Southern Nationalist James Thornwell recently summarized the political impact of tens of thousands of Puerto Ricans upon Dixie, high-lighting the fact that demographic displacement has an enormous impact upon government:

Puerto Rico is a political and economic burden upon the South. If we receive Puerto Rican immigrants they will change the voting pattern of Florida from red state to blue state like California.

To be brutally honest, this debt-ridden island of Spanish-speaking mulattoes has little potential in the modern world. As an agrarian colony with a traditional hierarchical and paternalistic system it could be productive and stable again. But democracy and equality assure that Puerto Rico, like many other regions of the former Golden Circle plantation civilization, is doomed to be a burden rather than an asset for any civilized nation which claims it.

  1. Let’s not forget who flooded the United States with Puerto Ricans to get their vote, the midget (((Fiorella LaGuardia))).

  2. Puerto Ricans are whores. If America cut them lose, Puerto Rico would allow Russia to place nukes on PR soil for $10.

  3. Snowhitey is correct, there weren’t any PRs in the NY area prior to the 1930s. Amazing how such a small island like that can produce a seemingly endless number of people, eh? Iceland is of comparable size but you don’t see endless numbers of Icelanders migrating all over the place.

It’s a shame that PR and other Caribbean islands are so poor, overcrowded and dysfunctional, especially when they have the potential to be economic gold-mines. Must we really wait until Red China takes over the Western Hemisphere for that to happen? .

    • It’s because at least half of all Puerto Rican ID is bogus, including now the so-called “real id”. The phony ID business has been a regular industry in Puerto Rico for decades. Among the biggest users of phony Puerto Rican ID are Dominicans, Mexicans and other Central Americans.

  4. In New York City, we used to call them “Puerto Rican Pigs” because they loused up the place. They burned down the entire apt. building where my father grew up. It was ruled arson. They’d turned it into a dump before that, though.

    • @Broken Arrows: Well, at least they were chased out of the Upper West Side so that Lincoln Center could be built.

  5. WHEN we create an enlarged Confederate States Of America for white Christians ONLY, we’ll need to TAKE all the islands east and in the gulf, except Trinidad, ( it’s too far and too close to South America. ) We’ll TAKE Rico and all the others and “relocate” all the 3rd world darkies to South America. We need those islands for strategic reasons.
And it was scummy libtard Woodrow Wilson with his infamous “Jones Act” that even allowed these cock roaches in !!!

We’ve got A LOT of trash to take out !

    • One solution is allowing nature, and their own natures to solve the problem for us, once Jewish rule is overthrown. Jews are making that happen already.

  6. I am in complete agreement with the thesis of this article. It appears to me that Puerto Rico is all cost and no benefit; I can’t see any downside to severing our connection with this God-forsaken island.

Our history with the “Isle of Enchantment” is interesting, to say the least. Puerto Ricans who were demanding independence committed many acts of terror against the United States over several decades, including the attempted assassination of President Truman on November 1, 1950. Now, however, independence is unpopular in Puerto Rico; why should a parasite want to be separated from its host? The irony is that the descendants of the independence-seeking terrorists of yesteryear might very well start a new terrorism campaign against us if we try to give them their independence.

  7. Puerto Rican’s are not leaving though. Did they not just vote to become an actual state? They had a referendum and voted over 90% to become a US state oy vey.

  8. The majority of U.S. military uniforms, footwear and combat field gear is made by Propper, Industries in Puerto Rico. I don’t see how they can continue to honor contracts to the SPO of the Department of Defense.

  9. So, here’s an island in hurricane alley that is routinely devastated by inclimate weather, and they have NO plan to deal with this except to whine to the U. S. to bail them out. That’s mighty ballsy for a country that pays no U. S. income tax. President Gerald Ford offered them a chance at statehood and they turned it down. Why become a state when they get all the benefits with none of the responsibilities? They are living every third-worlder’s dream. Now they have to pay the price. Screw’em!
