Occidental Dissent has been “no-platformed” by Donately.
The first inkling that this was coming was in an article published by the SPLC over the weekend in which they doxed the League of the South’s Chief of Security:
“Securing convenient forms of online payment has been a perennial problem for the far right. Stormfront’s founder Don Black has resorted to repeated pleas for funding after having his PayPal account canceled and finding himself unable to secure a merchant account to process online transactions after a recent ban from his previous processing company.
Malone, however, had the solution.
Less than a week after Duke’s meeting with the LOS head of security, both Stormfront and Occidental Dissent were using new, nearly identical donation forms powered by a company named Donate.ly that allows organizations — primarily social good and non- profit groups — to process donations made by credit card.
When contacted by Hatewatch about Stormfront and Occidental Dissent using their platform, a company spokesperson explained, “Donately is a service that allows organizations to start taking online donations simply and without a contract. As such, we don’t approve or deny the organizations that use our service before they create an account.”
After describing a recent decision to ban an account opened by Kyle “Based Stickman” Chapman, the spokesman continued: “We don’t allow violent hate groups to use our services. The ‘Based Stickman’ incident just happened recently and since then we have been consulting with our legal council to amend our Terms of Service to be more clear on what is not allowed on the system.” …
It was no surprise when this email from Donately arrived on Monday:
If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please let us know.
Thank you –
Donately changed its TOS after being contacted by the SPLC in order to specifically “no-platform” Occidental Dissent and Stormfront. This came in the aftermath of banning Kyle Chapman aka Based Stickman for being a “violent hate group.” It was through Based Stickman that I heard about Donately in the first place. I assumed they supported free speech.
I got this email yesterday afternoon:
The Donately Team”
Already knowing the answer, I replied to their email:
Is it fair to say that you changed your TOS in order appease the SPLC?”
Here is the response I got from Bryan Shanaver:
No, but it is true the SPLC contacted us and alerted us that your organization was using Donately. It prompted us to review your site and your organization’s message. We were already in the process of expanding our TOS to explicitly include hate speech and race intolerance. Hopefully this update dissuades similar organizations from creating Donately accounts in the future.
There are other options out there which cater to your views on the world, please choose one of those.
I had no idea who Bryan Shanaver was until this afternoon. After Googling him, I realized he was involved with Invisible Children’s “Kony 2012” campaign. Then it all clicked and I remembered how that was the ultimate SJW virtue signaling campaign which collapsed in a fiasco.
Bryan Shanaver’s entire presence on Facebook and Twitter is consumed with posts about how much he hates Trump and Republicans. It doesn’t come as any surprise that someone who thinks Trump’s impeachment is imminent would be censoring rightwing sites for “hate speech.”
Conservatism turned toxic: Donald Trump’s fanbase has no actual ideology, just a nihilistic hatred of liberals https://t.co/rTtGDLZOl3

I’m not going to whine about it.
In the last few months, Occidental Dissent has been “no-platformed” by Disqus, PayPal and Donately. We haven’t even bothered with Patreon and GoFundMe. This is all part of a broader leftwing campaign to stigmatize, censor and defund rightwing speech as “hate speech.” Progressives are having a big tantrum because they lost the presidential election. The Sleeping Giants campaign has targeted Breitbart and the SPLC has harassed everyone from Occidental Dissent to Breitbart to the Daily Stormer to the Family Research Council to President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
Facebook is deleting 66,000 posts a week in a crackdown on “hate speech”:
“Facebook is hiring an additional 3,000 people to delete posts that it considers hate speech, the company announced Tuesday.
The social media giant said it has removed an average of 66,000 posts every week over the past two months.
How does Mark Zuckerberg’s company define hate speech? …
“When we remove something you posted that you believe is a reasonable political view, it can feel like censorship. We know how strongly people feel when we make such mistakes, and we’re constantly working to improve our processes and explain things more fully,” Allan said.
Zuckerberg said in May that the “reviewers” who are removing posts are working for the public good.”
If you think that is bad, California has passed its own travel ban which bans state-funded travel to eight states including Alabama over their opposition to transgenderism:
“California is restricting publicly funded travel to four more states because of recent laws that leaders here view as discriminatory against gay and transgender people.
All totaled, California now bans most state-funded travel to eight states.
The new additions to California’s restricted travel list are Texas, Alabama, Kentucky and South Dakota.
They join Kansas, Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee as states already subjected to the ban. …”
I’m not going to lament these trends.
I don’t consider myself a victim here. I believe that rightwing crowdfunding sites like WeSearchr and Counter.fund will emerge as viable alternatives to Silicon Valley. This type of censorship will only create opportunities for our own people with a tech background. It will keep more of our money circulating in our own communities. It will promote virtue and polarization which will morally and politically advance our long term goals. By censoring populist speech as “hate speech,” liberals will only end up increasing our popularity by making our ideas look edgy and cool to young people.
The SPLC’s favorite tactic to suppress rightwing speech is through employment discrimination. They attempt to violate our civil rights. They attack our civil rights of free speech and free assembly. American Renaissance is unable to book hotel rooms. Richard Spencer is banned from his gym. He wasn’t allowed to speak at Auburn University until we won a federal lawsuit. In this case, Occidental Dissent and Stormfront are being discriminated against by crowdfunding sites.
It is all worth it because it shows the Left has come full circle. They don’t have any morally principled belief in free speech, civil rights, non-discrimination, tolerance, non-violence, colorblindness or equality. When they were weak, the Left invoked all of those “principles” but now that they are strong they have discarded them. This proves that our ancestors were right and they were simply against us all along. We have nothing to feel guilty about anymore. We are justified in taking our own side and moving beyond this confidence trick which the Left abandoned a generation ago.
Note: This is a temporary inconvenience. If you would like to contribute to Occidental Dissent, we will have a new system up and running shortly. I encourage you to do so because you can see how desperate our enemies are to silence us down. It is high praise.
