The Case for Trump: “Basket of Deplorables”

Evidently, Hillary Clinton’s advisers thought it would be smart politics to repeatedly go after 1/2 of Trump’s supporters as a “Basket of Deplorables”:

“Hillary Clinton said Friday that “half” of Donald Trump’s supporters could be grouped in “the basket of deplorables” at a fundraising event in New York City.

“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the ‘basket of deplorables’. Right?” Clinton said to applause and laughter from the crowd of supporters at an LGBT for Hillary fundraiser where Barbra Streisand performed. “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it.”

“And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up,” she added. …”

We’re “Stronger Together” except for the “Basket of Deplorables” who are irredeemable. They’re all a bunch of racists and xenophobes!

To make matters worse for Hillary, her campaign spokesman clarified her statement on Twitter that the “Basket of Deplorables” who make up over 1/2 of Trump’s crowds are the alt-right. This puts the #LyingPress fact checkers in the awkward position of having to take Hillary’s side or embrace a whopper of a lie.

Once again, Hillary Clinton has given the alt-right another Christmas present. In reality, the alt-right is only a tiny fraction of the so-called “Basket of Deplorables,” but by lumping all these people together as a cohesive faction, labeling them “alt-right,” and polarizing them against the Left she is inviting these disaffected voters to seek out and identify with the label as the standard bearer of the opposition.

If anyone but Trump had won the Republican nomination, this wouldn’t be happening. It is also further proof that a Trump victory would greatly empower the alt-right. If that happened, the “Basket of Deplorables” will have triumphed and will remain in the national spotlight for years, and the resulting publicity would attract more far more people to the alt-right than losing the election ever would.

Every utterance from Hillary Clinton about the “alt-right” generates media think pieces that sends thousands of people Googling the term and falling down the rabbit hole.

  8. I think it is hilarious how Hillary seemlessy hitches Islam and Gay Rights in the same argument and no one notices. So Hillary thinks she can simultaneously support Omar Mateen and the Pulse Night Club? LOL This woman is sick. I support NEITHER.

    • Yeah, you’re correct about that. Supporting Islam and supporting Gay rights are two things that definitely don’t go together.

      • The Jews linked up the Womens Rights with Negro Rights in the Sixties to turn White Women against White men and make it seem as if the Negro was their ally of sorts against the Patriarchy. Of course Jewish women pushed this not only for Jewish selfish gain but because Jew whores mudshark at like 1000 times the rate white women do
