This is what we are hearing on Facebook:
“Yesterday, a black man stood in a corridor of the housing projects and shot at the passing caravan of Confederate flag waving vehicles as they passed. This happened about a mile before the entrance to Stone Mountain Park where the Rally to Preserve Southern Christian Culture was being held. The truck in front of me was shot at, hitting with three shots. They were a family of five and they stopped in the middle of the road called the police and the shooter was arrested. No one was hit, but thanks to this brave family the criminal was arrested. Preserve the Southern Christian Culture.”
If this story is accurate, it would be the second time in a month that a black male has opened fire on a pro-Confederate rolling parade. This is also just the sort of scenario in which I predicted that violence could erupt. Thankfully, the Stone Mountain Police promptly handled the situation.
Note: The SPLC has condemned the C of CC for propagating what it calls the “false narrative of a victimized white majority under siege by allegedly violent people of color in the United States.”
