Note: This is the equivalent of banning the Democratic Party and outlawing unions and multiculturalism on the grounds that a negro Democrat shot and killed a White Republican. It is a good thing though that no one in Greece will continue to be under any illusions that “democracy” isn’t just a way channeling and managing political dissent.
This is the exact equivalent of banning the Democratic Party because a Rapper shot an an active GOP member. The double standard is extraordinary. In addition to that this anti-hate law is proposed within a few days of witnessing the Mall Attack in Nairobi, Boko Haram attacking a Christian campus in Nigeria, the swamping of Lampedusa with Africans, weeks after the beheading of Lee Rigby in broad daylight in Woolwich, various Church burnings in Egypt, Syria and Pakistan. Assaults on white ethnics and Christian minorities in the Middle East. Syrian rebels are actually killing Greek Orthodox, same thing happened in Libya. I’m surprised that the Greeks are not up arms from the Arab/Turkish onslaught against them.
This is terrible to see. I wouldn’t count GD out yet though. What they’ve done in the last few years has been incredible. They are not finished.
They can still use the White Genocide Mantra and if they ban discussion of White Genocide, they will have to explain exactly what it is they are banning and then everyone in Greece and Europe will know the score.
If Golden Dawn is as smart as a lot of us think, they had to be ready for this. I hope they have a backup plan. The third most popular party in Greece is Golden Dawn. This is criminal.

You said they will have to explain what white genocide is. They do not. I imagine they will simply classify all references to “white genocide” as criminally racist incitement and leave it at that.

I’m pretty sure that this is what doomed the Soviet Union. At a certain point everyone realized it was an absurdity. Is the system so fragile that it cannot accommodate 10-15% nationalist voting patterns? Le Pen got 1/4 of the vote and the French didn’t sweat it.
