The Muse of Hate: Pennsyltucky

(Editor’s Note: In this episode of The Muse of Hate, Lord Scorpius and Atheist travel to Pennsylvania to witness the Great Unraveling of Black Run Amerika.

Caution: you are about to enter the literary zone!)

Pennsylvania

Narrator: At the request of Lord Scorpius, Mercury has driven the Iron Chariot to Philadelphia, where the race war was launched in 2016.

Lord Scorpius: I thought it would be a good idea to travel outside of Dixie. We have already considered the depressing fate of Florida. This place is arguably an even bigger clusterfuck. Worse than Florida. Better than Nevada.

Atheist: The City of Brotherly Love?

Lord Scorpius: Yeah, the spiritual capital of Quakerism. The doctrine of racial equality established its first intellectual foothold in Philadelphia. They were having these stupid debates as far back as the Washington administration in Boston and Philadelphia.

As you know, Jefferson knew from experience that blacks were an inferior race who ought to be returned to their “native clime” in Africa. James Madison and James Monroe sent a bunch of them to Liberia. They named the capitol of Liberia after Monroe of Virginia.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Franklin worried that the Germans wouldn’t assimilate. He believed that the Anglo-Saxons were superior to Germans and Italians. He even disputed Jefferson’s theory that blacks were racially inferior to Whites because of his anti-slavery principles.

Atheist: That’s the dumbest fucking thing I have ever heard. Germans are inferior to Anglo-Saxons, but Africans are the equals of White people? What measurement was he using?

Lord Scorpius: Who knows?

It will suffice to say that Jefferson won the argument. He also won the argument with Alexander Hamilton. That is why we came here.

Atheist: Franklin wasn’t wrong about everything.

Lord Scorpius: Yeah, the Amish still haven’t assimilated … in the 21st century, so Franklin was right about that. They didn’t want to live like “the English” around here.

Good for them. The Amish are the only people here who ever had a clue. That is why it is so sad what is happening to them.

Atheist: I see what you mean.

The Amish in Pennsyltucky were right about “English civilization.” Unfortunately, their proximity to all the African-Americans in Philadelphia and to the “Melting Pot” in the Bosh-Wash corridor and their own lack of ruthlessness is proving to be their undoing.

Lord Scorpius: Yes, after having survived for centuries as a shining example of how to build sustainable and traditional White communities in the soulless decadence of American cornucopia, this is how Amish civilization tragically comes to its end.

Atheist: What do you mean?

Lord Scorpius: “White Nationalism” was always a retarded idea.

It should have been obvious. Just look at how much time “White Nationalists” spent squabbling with each other over the most trivial bullshit imaginable “in the good times.”

White people couldn’t unite in a time of prosperity for the most compelling reasons in the history of European civilization. And so, the “White Nationalists” found out that Whites couldn’t unite in the tough times either.

Just the opposite happened.

Lord Scorpius: The race question has always been simpler in Dixie than it was up here in the North.

In the South, you are White, and they are Africans. In some places, you are White, and they are Hispanics. In the Border States, you were White, and they were Yankees. That was the way it had always been from Virginia to Texas.

When BRA’s Catastrophe began to unfold in Dixie, the Hispanics weren’t dense enough on the ground to stick around in the Southern core. Outside of Texas and Florida, most of them evacuated when “shit got real.”

They were already leaving places like Alabama and Georgia before the American economy collapsed. Lots of them had come here in the 1990s and 2000s when the economy was roaring along during the housing bubble.

The only thing that kept them here was BRA’s money and welfare. None of them wanted to be here. They wanted to be in Mexico. That is why they were usually buried there.

After the Hispanics left Dixie, it was Whites vs. Africans again. The federal government began to lose power like all the other “too big too fail” institutions. The chains began to loosen.

Blacks launched the race war on The Day The EBT Card Stopped Working …  but, White people in Dixie were armed to the teeth, were still racially conscious, and they were relatively homogeneous in ethnicity, culture, and religion. The Army of God restored order in most areas.

That wasn’t the case elsewhere.

Lord Scorpius: Here in Pennsylvania, we are in the world of the “melting pot” and the “nation of immigrants.” The Mid-Atlantic states were the most mixed area of the colonies when the Continental Congress was meeting here. They became even more mixed over the next two centuries.

This area is what is left of “America” in the late twenty-first century. In the old days, they described the entire country as the “nation of immigrants” because this area was the dominant section after its “Civil War,” but in reality “America” began just north of the Virginia border.

Back in the War Between the States, we saw a fracture within the Union over slavery that became cultural and ethnic in the Upper South. Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Arkansas … these were Southern states by blood, soil, and culture.

Kentucky and West Virginia were ripped from Dixie by the slavery issue. The only good thing that came out of that conflict was making slavery a non-issue there. White Southerners aren’t divided by class anymore.

The CSA is bigger in the 2060s than it was in the 1860s. John Brown must be rolling his grave. Kansas joined the Confederacy!

Lord Scorpius: Needless to say, the White people who live from Virginia through West Virginia through Kentucky and into Missouri are the same people. They are the Southern race.

Every Southerner instinctively knows when he is traveling through Cracker and Cavalier Country. West Virginia and Kentucky are firmly Cracker in their political and cultural gravity.

Crackers have always known the truth about African-Americans. That is why the federal government had to pass that Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 to force integration on them.

The Crackers never wanted it. There are plenty of Crackers in Ohio and Pennysltucky and especially in Southern Indiana and Southern Illinois who share our point of view on that subject. The ancestors of these hillbillies moved here from Dixie.

Atheist: Pennsylvania isn’t a Cracker state though. It is only partially Cracker in Pennsyltucky. There are lots of Germans, Irish, and Italians living in the Nation of Immigrants. The Amish are doing their own thing like the Mormons.

Lord Scorpius: That’s right.

West Virginia and Kentucky are Cracker states with relatively few blacks to worry about. Pennsylvania is an Americanized “melting pot” that is more like Yugoslavia.

The race war itself was launched here in Philadelphia. Africans-Americans took over Philadelphia. They had the advantage of being a single people.

The Crackers in West Virginia and Virginia clearly saw the niggers waging war against the Whites in Philadelphia, and thought to themselves “here we go again,” but it wasn’t as obvious to the Whites in this mixed area, who thought of themselves as “Americans” and “Irish-Americans” or “Catholics” or “German-Americans” or in terms other identities along those lines.

In Virginia, it was Whites vs. Africans. But in Pennyslvania, it was Africans vs. deracinated and mixed European immigrants vs. Crackers vs. Bosh-Wash corridor refugees.

Atheist: That’s interesting.

So what you are saying is that White solidarity is an artifact of culture and ethnicity? As Cracker states, West Virginia and Kentucky had always been Anglo-Celtic, or White. This was reflected in their culture, laws, and history.

In other states, “whiteness” was a more tenuous thing. It is easy to call yourselves “White” in the South because Dixie isn’t part of the “Nation of Immigrants.” They are mostly descended from the British Isles there – whiteness itself originally referred to a British complexion. Comparatively, Dixie is a relatively settled society.

It is just one people surrounded by blacks and Hispanics. Race became the biggest marker of ethnic identity in places like Alabama and Misssissippi. This clarifies the issue.

But what if there are tons of blacks in Philadelphia, but there are also all these Slavs, these Germans, these Anglos, these Irish, these Italians. They have mixed to some degree.

Their ancestors haven’t been in North America nearly as long. Few of them here were during the frontier centuries. In such a place, “whiteness” isn’t as strong as it is elsewhere in Mississippi and Alabama where only two people – one White, one African – have lived alongside each other for hundreds of years.

Indians used to live in the Old Southwest. That’s another story.

Lord Scorpius: The Amish had never believed in White solidarity with “the English.”

There are Cracker elements here that are White. It will suffice to say that all those fuckers in the Bosh-Wash Corridor – in Snookiland – weren’t thinking of themselves as “White” like they were in West Virginia.

Some of them were. It is all about numbers though. Everyone in Mississippi is on board with being “White.” Everyone in New Jersey and Pennsylvania isn’t on board with being “White.”

So that complicated things on The Day The EBT Card Stopped Working.

Atheist: The Bosh-Wash Corridor was an enormous megapolis that stretched from Boston to Washington.

Lord Scorpius: Yeah, the South had Atlanta and Charlotte and Houston, but to get from Atlanta to Tampa, you had to travel hundreds of miles through rural territory.

What Kunstler didn’t realize is that it was easier for the South to depopulate its major cities because they were spread so far apart. It was far easier to get out of Atlanta than it was to get out of Philadelphia or New York City.

These Sunbelt cities like Atlanta and Charlotte were a flash in the pan in the long view of history. Where did all the people there go? They went back to the smaller towns in Dixie. Most of them weren’t a generation or two removed from their folks there.

Dixie is huge area.

There is a vast world out there beyond the interstates. Just the opposite is true in the Northeast. New Jersey and Connecticut are not like Tennessee and Georgia.

There is also “real New England” like Maine and New Hampshire and Vermont vs. the Bosh-Wash corridor.

Atheist: Where did the people in the Bosh-Wash corridor go when American civilization stopped working in the 2010s and 2020s? What happened to New York City and New Jersey and Connecticut?

Lord Scorpius: It was simple in Alabama.

The Crackers had to deal with the nigger question. After the federal government went bankrupt and collapsed, that wasn’t much of a problem.

Everyone in Alabama still had the guns, the church, the radio, ethnic and racial solidarity, the waterways, and above all else, we had water and abundant game and plenty of land which could be shifted back to domestic food production.

That’s what became of the niggers here. It was back to the fields, back to mamie, back to being the labor force.

Lord Scorpius: Well, in the Bosh-Wash corridor there was a very different situation.

After the barbarian hordes of African-Americans sacked the supermarkets, where was the cast of Jersey Shore going to grow food? After the airlines went down, it is not like they could move to the Pacific Northwest.

Who had the guns? They had the worst of all possible worlds in the Bosh-Wash corridor … it was nearly as bad as Los Angeles, which had to deal with everything from pirates to earthquakes to gang warfare to drought.

In the Bosh-Wash corridor, they had gangs and brute force. Crime was a way of solving their problems. The gangs had to organize to defend themselves from the Black Undertow which had evolved into barbarian hordes.

The last thing that materialized in the Bosh-Wash corridor was White solidarity. In the South, they turned back to religion as the secular world collapsed.

In parts of the North, especially in the New York metropolitan area, they turned to crime and gang warfare. The beautiful people in the Hamptons didn’t last long in that world.

Atheist: I can see now what happened to the Amish in Pennsylvania.

Lord Scorpius: Yes, they were overrun by the Horde from the “Nation of Immigrants” in Pennsyltucky, especially by all the refugees from the Bosh-Wash corridor. There weren’t enough of them to fight back.

We had smaller hordes to deal with in North Carolina and Georgia and Florida. It was nothing on the scale of the Horde that came out of the Bosh-Wash corridor in those years though.

Lord Scorpius: Criminal scum was everywhere.

What did they make in that area? What did they grow? Subprime mortgages? CDO squareds? “Derivatives”? Federal Reserve notes? In the zero sum world, there wasn’t a market for that shit anymore.

So how did New Jersey and New York City adapt to the zero sum world? Wall Street was already making vast fortunes off predatory finance in the good times.

I’m told that when the mob got a hold of Larry Kudlow and Jim Cramer it wasn’t pretty.

Lord Scorpius: *waves arms and points finger in circular direction*

This whole damn area … it is the world of Alexander Hamilton. It is the land of free market capitalism. This is their “free society.” Look at it now.

Atheist: It looks to me like Hamilton was wrong about nearly everything.

Lord Scorpius: That god damn Invisible Hand is responsible for all of this you see happening here. People assumed it worked. In reality, it never worked. They had faith in the Invisible Hand.

The god damn Invisible Hand was just a theory that became popular at a very peculiar and usual point in world history. They actually thought the Invisible Hand was creating America’s prosperity.

Wasn’t England becoming more prosperous before the Invisible Hand? How much damn gold did Spain and Portugal take from the New World?

You mean to tell me it always had more to do with biology, with ecology, with geology, with geography, with military force, with religion, with historical fortune – than with a stupid abstract theory?

And that is why the damn Invisible Hand isn’t working anymore?

Atheist: The Amish are dead.

The Horde destroyed them … the White Horde from the Bosh-Wash corridor.

Lord Scorpius: Marx was right about capitalism.

He was wrong about communism. This doesn’t look anything like socialism or communism though. Instead, we have returned to the zero sum world because our brilliant economists got economics fundamentally wrong. Not to mention the rest of the social sciences.

We are going back to feudalism now. Back to the Dark Ages.

Lord Scorpius: Do you realize what we are seeing here?

This is like pre-Copernican astronomy or pre-Darwinian biology … that was the “science” of economics for centuries, which is playing out on the stage of world history, this was the final result.

Atheist: The economists have their head up their ass. Did you listen to the Obama jobs speech?

Lord Scorpius: My friend, it is much bigger than that. The economists and the rest of the social sciences are all wrong about the same thing.

Atheist: Do you know what this is?

Lord Scorpius: Yes, I do.

I figured out what they have gotten wrong. I can see the flaw in their models. If I wanted to, I could solve their problem.

It was an accidental discovery. I was working on another project for years, but I accidentally stumbled upon something else in the course of my inquiry, something of great value to them.

Atheist: Why don’t you share it then?

Lord Scorpius: Ethics.

Suppose you were working on the Manhattan Project. Would you have split the atom? Knowing how your research would be misused?

Suppose there was another Copernicus or a Darwin in Black Run Amerika – the Darwin or Copernicus of economics, someone operating outside of the cloistered world of academia, who lived in a society where it was culturally illegal to value Western civilization.

Would that person want to sustain this degenerate society? Maybe he rather see it collapse under the weight of its own ignorance. It would be a tough call.

You know, Darwin’s theory was utterly simple: natural selection can be explained in a few paragraphs. It is simple and obvious. That simple theory had enormous predictive power which is why it beat the other paradigms.

Atheist: We left Karl and St. Francis in North Carolina. Maybe we should go pick them up? They are probably wondering what happened to us!

Lord Scorpius: Yes, it is too depressing to stick around here. It makes me sick to see what has become of this place. The Horde has ruined everything here.

Lord Scorpius: The gods have delivered their judgment.  The Invisible Hand got the death penalty.
