It took me a while this afternoon to jog my memory, but while I was growing up in Alabama in the 1990s, I remember being inspired by my favorite black superhero of all time, Blankman, and how much I loved that movie as a teenager.

I went to the mall in Buckhead Atl yesterday and all the black security guards and front desk black women were staring at me like I was going to steal something or open fire on them. Then I purchased something with my own money. Black people are living in a whole other universe.
